Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 UC President’s Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting Fellows. Selected fellows will attend the Lindau Chemistry Meeting from June 29 through July 4, 2025 or the Economic Sciences Meeting from August 26 through August 30, 2025 . The UC Office of the President will cover allowable expenses.
See full details below.
Established nearly seven decades ago, the Lindau meetings bring together 600 university students and post-doctoral fellows from around the world who spend one-week absorbing lectures by Nobel Laureates and interacting with them in smaller groups to discuss their research. The theme of the meetings – educate, inspire, and connect – has led us to see these meetings as places where our students not only learn, but begin to build the research networks that will enrich their lives and help create the broadest sense of community.
The UC National Laboratories Office will provide funds for up to nine post-doctoral fellows among the UC National Labs to travel to Lindau, Germany to participate in the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting. Allowable expenses are covered by University of California Travel Policy. Fellows may be asked to travel to an orientation meeting prior to the Lindau Nobel Meeting. Expenses associated with that trip and any other trips authorized by the Office of the President for this purpose will be covered.
Overall selection criteria are provided by the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings that can be found at https://www.lindau-nobel.org/young-scientists/ and https://www.lindau-nobel.org/young-economists/. Initial applications will be submitted by Google Forms and must include:
